It is hard to believe that it has been almost 5 years since I performed a solo concert. In the meantime, I have been playing with other people and writing more songs. This evening is about performing my original songs written over the last two decades. I have invited some friends to help me put on a show for you.

We are at the historic Oro Medonte Community Hall, 31 Ridge Road East, Oro Medonte. Doors open at 7:00 pm and the concert begins at 7:30 pm.

Admission is $20.00 payable at the door Kids are free. All proceeds will be donated to Hospice Simcoe and The Sharing Place Food Centre in Orillia. Please RSVP to johnston@rogers.com . This is important for setting up this intimate venue. See you in November.

Summer is almost here but why wait to get the party started. I will be playing this Friday May 31 2019,  7:00 to 9:00 pm at TLC Café at 23 Maple Street in downtown Barrie. If you have never been to the TLC before, they serve dinner and are licensed. My special guest that evening will be Brian McClean.

I’m getting caught up on my postings after taking some time off.  On Saturday April 27 2019 my good friend Gisella Charette hosted a house concert in Woodstock,  Ontario.  We raised some money for Sakura House, a residential hospice serving the local Woodstock area.  Check out this link for more on Sakura house;  http://vonsakurahouse.com . To bring in the new year I was joined by some special guests. Many thanks to Cassandra Rutherford        ( https://www.facebook.com/CassandraRutherfordMusic/ ) who lifted the whole evening to another level with her original songs on the cafe’s upright piano.  For my final song of the evening I did The Band’s “The Weight” joined by two musical friends Vince Filo-Caroll and Ed Moll.
